A commercial fridge runs 24 hours a day for a decade — which is exactly why the Energy Efficiency Grant will carry up to 70% of the cost for an SME buying an efficient one. Everything below is from the official GoBusiness EEG pages, checked August 2026.
The EEG supports Singapore businesses buying energy-efficient equipment, including commercial refrigerators. The Base Tier supports pre-approved equipment at up to 70% for SMEs (up to 30% for non-SMEs), capped at S$30,000 per company. The Advanced Tier goes up to S$350,000 across both tiers for equipment with demonstrated large energy savings. The scheme runs to 31 March 2027, with the Base Tier announced to extend to all sectors until 31 March 2028.
For the Food Services sector: registered and operating in Singapore under SSIC 56 or 68104, holding a valid SFA licence, at least 30% local shareholding, and group annual sales turnover of not more than S$500 million. Manufacturing, including food manufacturing, has its own track, and refrigerators are supported equipment in both.
Only models on the official GoBusiness pre-approved equipment list qualify for the Base Tier. For commercial refrigerators, the published technical bar is a minimum 4-tick NEA rating for regulated commercial storage refrigerators, and inverter technology for other commercial refrigerator types. We carry 177 pre-approved models across Fukushima Galilei, Berjaya, Kadeka, Uniko and Kojima — every one wears a green EEG badge on this site, and the model finder can filter to EEG-listed only.
Buying first. Equipment purchased before the EEG application is submitted cannot be claimed. Apply through the Business Grants Portal first; approved companies then have up to one year to purchase, install and submit claims.
They are separate schemes with separate caps. The EEG rewards energy efficiency and covers pre-approved refrigerator models at up to 70% for SMEs. The Productivity Solutions Grant covers productivity equipment categories such as blast chillers and blast freezers at 50% for SMEs. A fridge purchase goes through the EEG; a blast chiller goes through the PSG — we help you route each purchase through the right scheme.
Pick the pre-approved model, get a quotation, and submit the application on the Business Grants Portal with a Corppass account — before any payment. Criteria and terms change from time to time, so we help you verify the current requirements before you commit to anything.
Every EEG pre-approved model we carry is on one page, organised by category, each wearing the green badge — from Fukushima Galilei uprights and undercounters to Berjaya display lines, Kadeka, Uniko and Kojima. Pick the category, shortlist by ticks and width, and we will quote it for your application.
